Giving Tuesday is December 1st
Since the onset of the pandemic, Washington Hospital has been leading the
way in COVID-19 response in Southern Alameda County. Our physicians, nurses
and staff make daily sacrifices to ensure that we are here to continue
to provide the highest quality care to our community and the best solutions
to treat and slow the spread of the pandemic.
For Giving Tuesday 2020, join us in our efforts to protect our community
from the impact of COVID-19. It is because of your support to date that
we’ve been able to meet these demands. As the COVID-19 outbreak
expands, your support is more critical than ever before.
Your gift to Washington Hospital’s COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund
will be used to protect our community and support our emerging needs,
including these three critical areas:
Protect Frontline Healthcare Providers - $25
Our medical staff put their lives on the line every day to care for our
community. You can ensure that they remain protected by having the essential
personal protective equipment they need, which can be lifesaving. Your
$25 donation can help supply an entire nursing unit with N95 masks.
Provide Early Resources for Vaccine Preparedness - $250
With the recent availability of COVID-19 vaccines, Washington Hospital
is actively preparing for the unique needs associated with vaccine storage
and distribution. Your $250 donation will support the purchase of equipment
and resources necessary for the hospital to become a future community
distribution center for the COVID-19 vaccine.
Support COVID-19 Testing Capacity - $500
Washington Hospital has been providing testing to essential workers since
March. To handle the rise in cases and colder weather, we must fortify
our testing facility and increase capacity. Your gift of $500 will help
us to purchase a weatherproof test and supplies to ensure quality patient
care and safety.
