Move Generosity Forward this Giving Tuesday- Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation is participating in Giving Tuesday on Nov. 28th. Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. Join us in our efforts to support the Excellence in Nursing fund at Washington Hospital to help our nurses and staff prepare for the future trauma center, including:

  • Specialized trauma education and simulation training for nurses & staff
  • Pediatric readiness preparation
  • Community awareness on trauma prevention, including 'stop the bleed' campaigns and fall prevention
  • Education on trauma-informed care to assist patients, family members and staff with post-trauma healing

Your generosity will help ensure our nurses and staff have the expertise and specialized training to provide the highest quality trauma care to our community. Thank you for your support!

How You Can Participate!

  1. Mark your Calendar - Giving Tuesday is November 28th, 2023
  2. Give – On November 28th, Donate Online or through Facebook, call (510.818.7350) or mail a check (payable to Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation 2000 Mowry Ave., Fremont, CA 94538).
  3. Create Your Own Facebook Fundraiser – Encourage your friends and family to join you in making a real impact on November 28th by creating a Facebook Fundraiser in honor of Washington Hospital Healthcare System and sharing what Washington Hospital means to you.
  4. Volunteer your Time: Washington Hospital's Service League is looking for adult and college-aged volunteers. It’s a great opportunity to provide services to patients, visitors and staff across the Hospital.

The following steps will help to set up a Facebook fundraiser for Giving Tuesday:

Step One: Select Fundraiser from the left menu on Facebook

Step Two: Click "Select Non-Profit"

Step Three: Search for "Washington Hospital Healthcare System"

Step Four: Edit the Amount, Time and Information for why you are fundraising. You can include the following messaging: Join me to support specialized trauma education & training for nurses and staff with a gift to Washington Hospital’s Excellence in Nursing Fund.
