Washington Hospital Healthcare System Earns Distinction as an ACS Surgical Quality Partner

[FREMONT, California] - Washington Hospital Healthcare System (WHHS) is proud to announce its designation as an ACS Surgical Quality Partner by the American College of Surgeons. This first-time recognition underscores Washington Hospital’s unwavering commitment to the highest standards of surgical care.

ACS Quality Programs have a legacy of improving health care outcomes, preventing complications, saving lives, and reducing costs for more than a century. These programs are widely recognized as a crucial benchmark for assessing a hospital's surgical quality. Washington Hospital achieved the ACS Surgical Quality Partner designation as a result of its existing accreditations for the WHHS Cancer Program and Breast Program.

This designation serves as a significant milestone for Washington Hospital. It highlights a commitment to superior surgical care and reinforces the health care system’s performance as a trusted health care provider. This distinction is important to the hospital and patients who value the assurance of high-quality health care.

"We are honored to receive the ACS Surgical Quality Partner designation," says Kimberly Hartz, CEO of Washington Hospital Healthcare System. "This distinction reflects our commitment to the highest standard of surgical care for our patients. We take pride in being a trusted health care provider in our community, and this designation further exemplifies our dedication to surgical excellence and patient safety."
