This historic campaign will be financed through a variety of fundraising sources with an overall funding need of $18M, with an aim to raise $10M in philanthropic giving. By doubling patient capacity, our patients will have expanded access to safe and comfortable quality services with 15,000 square feet of state-of-the-art facilities, multidisciplinary collaboration, and an expansive network of leading specialists.

Newly designed areas in the expanded UCSF-Washington Cancer Center will house comprehensive services and outstanding patient-centered care all under one roof to residents of Southern Alameda County not previously available for the community as follows:

• Comprehensive & Interdisciplinary Services: 2,000+ sq ft of space for a collaborative network of interdisciplinary services for patients and their families, including access to social workers, nutritionists, financial counselors, clinical research program, palliative care and a full-service in-house pharmacy
• Comfortable & Accessible Infusion Pods: 17 infusion bays, 3 private treatment areas, 6 private exam rooms and 2 procedure rooms to provide a comfortable space for patients undergoing cancer treatment and chemotherapy
• Reception & Patient Lobby: A larger, more centralized lobby for patients and families to ensure the comfort and safety of everyone
• A Centralized Nursing Station: A new centralized nursing station that will help improve patient care and provide faster and more efficient services
