Paula Petti, PhD, Director of Gamma Knife Physics

Paula Petti, PhD, is board certified in therapeutic radiological physics. Her areas of expertise include stereotactic radiosurgery, charged-particle radiation therapy, Monte Carlo calculations, and particle and photon dose calculations.

Desmond Erasmus, MD, Neurosurgeon

In addition to participating in the Gamma Knife Program, Dr. Erasmus is medical director of the Institute's Minimally Invasive Spine Program. He is board certified in neurosurgery and has undergone specialized training in Gamma Knife technology.

Ping Lombardi, RN, BSN, Gamma Knife Nurse

Ping Lombardi has been a registered nurse for 34 years and has been on staff at Washington Hospital for 27 years. Her specialties include intensive care, critical care, peripherally inserted central catheters and renal dialysis. After receiving her bachelor's degree in nursing from University of Santo Thomas in Manila, Philippines, Lombardi obtained cardiothoracic training at Albert Einstein Hospital in The Bronx, New York.
