Sidne is a volunteer who worked full-time while raising her three children. When not being a mom and working, you could find her participating in kitty rescue.

Sidne decided that it was time to explore other areas and followed her passion of being with the babies and became a "cuddler" in our Special Care Nursery at Washington Hospital Healthcare System for the past 10 years. She enjoys it just as much now as she did in the beginning and in Sidne words, "It's the best job in the Hospital."

Other areas at Washington Hospital where Sidne has volunteered would be our Emergency Department, new parent birthing tours and Washington Hospital Service League Treasurer. Presently she is the president of the Purrfect Cat Rescue, which she helped start in 2005. She says the kittens are fun, but nothing compared to the babies.

In addition, Sidne enjoys traveling and has been to Africa and Antarctica.
