Gail says become a volunteer at Washington Hospital was the best decision she made when she retired. She says she has especially enjoyed the opportunity to learn and meet so many wonderful people.

Since she began volunteering, Gail has worked at the lobby desk, as a surgery liaison and making puppets and hankies for patients. She calls all of this, "rewarding, educational and fun." She has served in the following Service League Board of Directors roles: Secretary, 2nd Vice President, 1st Vice President and President. She says it has been exciting to participate in various milestones at the Hospital.

Additionally, Gail and her husband volunteer with Disabled Sports USA for the past 30 years in multiple capacities. But their greatest joy is enjoying their four grandsons.
