Jeannie's first exposure to Washington Hospital was in the 1970s as a nursing student in Labor and Delivery. Little did she know that she would return in 2003 as a volunteer, back in that same unit to photograph newborns!
She says it has been her privilege to serve on the Washington Hospital Service League Board of Directors for several years in varying capacities, this year as parlimentarian. Having recently celebrated the Hospital's 60th anniversary, she looks forward to the continued growth and development of the volunteer program. She knows that health care is very dynamic and we need to be continually focused on finding the best ways to utilize eager and qualified volunteers to meet needs in the Hospital, whether it is working directly with patients and families, or supporting the staff.
