32nd Annual Top Hat Gala Celebrated Hospital's History and Future!
Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation’s 32nd Annual Top Hat Gala
took place on Saturday, October 13. The gala raised more than $190,000
to benefit the equipment needs of the new Morris Hyman Critical Care Pavilion.
The event was attended by more than 700 guests representing community leaders,
elected officials, philanthropic friends of the hospital, and medical
staff. This year's event was co-chaired by Dr. Carmen Agcaoili, medical
director of the intensivist program and Critical Care Unit; Marsha Badella,
Foundation trustee and community activist; and Dr. Kadeer Halimi, medical
director of the Emergency Department.
This year's event also featured a salute to the first responders of
southern Alameda County. Every day, the clinical staff of Washington Hospital
work hand-in-hand with the police officers, fire fighters and paramedics
who bring patients to the Hospital for medical care.
The dinner was catered by McCall's Catering and Events of San Francisco.
Beach Blanket Babylon provided exceptional entertainment for a memorable evening.
