W.O.W. Mobile Health Clinic

The Washington On Wheels Mobile Health Clinic (W.O.W.) is a mobile medical unit providing quality health care services primarily to uninsured and underserved District residents. 

The 36-foot mobile clinic provides services for children, adults and seniors without insurance such as:

  • Physical exams
  • Health screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels for diabetes.
  • Immunizations and flu shots (Click here to learn more about whooping cough)
  • Nutritional counseling and health education
  • Occupational medicine - If your company is interested in utilizing the W.O.W. Mobile Health Clinic for occupational medicine services for your employees, call (510) 608-1320 for more details. W.O.W. also is available to do flu shots on site at your company

The W.O.W. Mobile Health Clinic is staffed by a nurse practitioner under the direction of Washington Hospital physician Dr. Steven Curran.

Service Schedule

Every Tuesday  - 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. W.O.W. Mobile Health Clinic will be at the Family Resource Center, 39155 Liberty Street, Fremont. Please note the W.O.W. van is closed for lunch.

First Wednesday of each month - 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. W.O.W. Mobile Health Clinic will be at the Fremont Senior Center, 40086 Paseo Padre Parkway, Fremont. Please note the W.O.W. van is closed for lunch.

Third Wednesday of each month - 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. W.O.W. Mobile Health Clinic will be at the Ruggieri Senior Center, 33997 Alvarado-Niles Road, Union City. Please note the W.O.W. van is closed for lunch.

The W.O.W. Mobile Health Clinic also provides service to Fremont and Newark Unified School Districts. Please call (510) 608-3203 for a schedule.
