Dr. Gallacher attended UC Irvine for his undergraduate education, graduating with Honors in 1974. He received his medical education at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Gallacher did a year and a half of internal medicine residency at the Long Beach Veterans Administration Hospital before switching to a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at UC Irvine. After completing his radiology residency in 1982 he did 6 months of additional training in Neuroradiology before going on to do a fellowship in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in 1984. Dr. Gallacher has been in practice here at Washington Hospital since that time.
