Event Proceeds Will Benefit the Sandy Amos, RN Infusion Center at Washington Hospital

The Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation’s 25^th Silver Anniversary Top Hat Dinner Dance took place on Saturday, October 8 and raised more than $194,000 to support the new Sandy Amos, R.N. Infusion Center at Washington Hospital.

“I would like to sincerely thank our sponsors and attendees who came out to support this cause,” said Demetrious Shaffer, President of the Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation. “Since the Foundation’s first Top Hat event in 1986, we have contributed more than $1.6 million to benefit patients at Washington Hospital.”

Located on the second floor of Washington West, the new infusion center will offer a comfortable venue for patients who require frequent infusion therapy. Instead of traveling out of the area or being admitted to the hospital for treatment, patients will now have the option to receive their therapy close to home, in a peaceful and tranquil setting.

A record 700 guests attended the gala, which took place under a beautiful tent on the grounds of Washington West. Dinner featured surprise operatic performances by The Singing Waiters.  After dinner, guests danced until midnight to the sounds of the ever popular Joe Sharino Band.
