CURRENT & UPCOMING EVENT SCHEDULE
Top Hat XXII will be held on Saturday, October 11 in a beautiful tent on the grounds of Washington West, 2500 Mowry Avenue. The event will feature an elegant reception, dinner entertainment, and a delicious menu presented by McCall Associates of San Francisco.

Proceeds will benefit the hospital’s digital echocardiography program, a service that treats patients at risk from cardiac conditions. Digital echocardiography offers clear, real-time images of the human heart that can be transmitted throughout the healthcare system to speed diagnosis and treatment.

The importance of events to the community
Events sponsored by the Foundation include the Top Hat Dinner Dance, the Golf Tournament, Trees of Angels, Medical Musicale and the Community Cultural Event. These outstanding events have provided funds for many new and meaningful health services such as:

- Upgrade to the emergency room and critical care units
- Diagnostic ultrasound unit

W.O.W. Mobile Health Clinic

Washington Community Health Resource Library
- Hospice care
- Cancer services
In addition to raising much-needed funds for healthcare programs and services, the Foundation events are considered some of the premier social events in the community. These events serve as opportunities for the community to come together in friendship and fun, not only to celebrate the success of their hospital, but also to show continuing support of a valued partner.

Top Hat
The Top Hat Dinner Dance is an elegant black-tie affair. The first Top Hat ball held in 1986 was the first fundraiser to support Washington Hospital.Top Hat provides an elegant evening of dining and dancing, while raising funds for necessary equipment, projects and programs for the Washington Township Health Care District. Top Hat XXII, will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008.

Held in memory of Gene Angelo Pessagno, the annual golf tournament benefits local cancer services and hospice care. It is a fun-filled event including golf, lunch, dinner, reception and awards ceremony.
Throughout the course of the evening, a selection of exciting golf equipment, weekend getaways and other items will be available at the silent auction. The 24th Annual Golf Tournament will be in May 2009, at the beautiful Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton.

The Trees of Angels events provide an opportunity to remember or honor a loved one while gathering with other community members at tree lightings held at various locations in the Tri-City area. Commemorative ornaments will be available for purchase. Funds raised from these events benefit local hospice care. Trees of Angels occur each year during the holiday season.

A Little Night Music -- Magical Medical MusicaleThe Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation, Washington Hospital Medical Staff, Washington Hospital Service League and Washington Hospital Employees present "A Little Night Music."
Medical staff members, their spouses and staff of Washington Hospital perform a variety of musical numbers during an exciting evening of entertainment held at the Harbor Light First Assembly of God Church in Fremont. A delicious dessert reception follows the performance. This event is held every other year in March.

Washington Township — A Pictorial History
This book brings to life the colorful and intriguing history of Washington Township. Over two hundred vintage pictures illustrate a story, which takes the reader on a journey into the past. This book is dedicated to Robert B. Fisher, M.D. Without his photographic contributions, this book would not have been possible. Proceeds will go towards the expansion of Washington Hospital's Emergency Department and Critical Care Units.
