Washington's Community Health Resource Library is free and open to the public. It offers consumer-friendly, health-oriented books, videos, audiotapes, magazines and Internet access. In addition, the library offers free bone density screenings Monday through Saturday. For screening times, please call.
Free Library Cards
Become a member of the library by signing up for your free library card. The card will allow you to check out materials to use in your own home.
Children's Story Hour
Once a month the library provides a story hour on a health topic for children ages four to eight. Story hours include story reading, watching a video and interesting activities for the kids. For dates and times, please call.
Volunteers
Volunteer opportunities in the library are available, and training is provided.
In addition, the library offers free bone density screenings Monday through Saturday as follows:
- Monday - Friday: 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Free Blood Pressure Screenings
In addition, the library offers free blood pressure screenings. The blood pressure screening machine also determines your Body Mass Index (BMI), pulse rate, weight and height.
