Sharmi MukherjeeMatthew Stauffer - DPT

Matthew graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. In 2006, he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. Matthew has treated exclusively in the outpatient setting in Fremont for the past 16 years and has been in clinic management since 2010.

Matthew has training in manual therapy techniques through the Institute of Physical Art, and through the North American Institute of Orthopedic and Manual Therapy.

Matthew has a special interest in the treatment of postsurgical total knees and hips. He values his position as an educator and strives to empower his patient to succeed and meet their rehabilitation goals.

Melissa M. de UnamunoNelson Tumanda - PTA

Nelson Tumanda received his A.A. degree as a physical therapist assistant at De Anza College in Cupertino, CA, where he graduated cum laude. He has also earned a bachelor's of science in health science from California State University, Fresno.

Nelson has been a Fremont resident since 1994, and has been a member of the Washington Outpatient Rehabilitation Center staff since 2001.

Nelson enjoys an active lifestyle. He is an avid golfer, bicyclist, motorcyclist and martial artist.

Larry AseoLaureto 'Larry' Aseo - PT

Larry graduated from Cal State, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1986. He has been an outpatient physical therapist in Fremont for more than 30 years.

Larry received extensive training and course work in manual therapy and exercises, includes osteopathic courses through Michigan State University; functional mobilization through Institute of Physical Art, and manual therapy through North American Institute of Orthopedic and Manual Therapy.

Through his thirty-five years of patient care in Physical Therapy, Larry has acquired knowledge to develop patient specific rehabilitation programs, has assisted patients to restore their functional potential, and has supported patients to maximize their ability to manage the medical conditions.

Gary RevitaGary Revita - PTA

Gary graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Kinesiology in 2012 then he received his Associates in Science degree in Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Ohlone College in 2017. Gary has been a licensed PT assistant since 2017 and enjoys seeing patients get better and stronger.

In his spare time, Gary loves fitness, watching sports, and traveling.

Nikita WadagbalkarNikita Wadagbalkar - MPT

Nikita earned her bachelor's degree in physical therapy from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in India in 2009, and earned a master’s degree in physical therapy with specialization in musculoskeletal disorders from Dr D.Y. Patil University in India in 2012.

She moved to the United States and earned her physical therapy license in 2014. She also has her certification in vestibular rehabilitation from the American Institute of Balance, USA. Nikita enjoys working in outpatient setting as it allows her to work with patients of all ages and utilize her manual therapy skills. She is fluent in English, Marathi and Hindi.

Outside of work she loves reading, watching movies and shopping.

Cartney Dzoan - DPT

Cartney Dzoan, a California-licensed Physical Therapist, graduated from University of California, Irvine with a B.S. in Public Health Science. After earning his bachelors, Cartney received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. As a powerlifting and tennis competitor, Cartney understands the importance of skilled physical rehab from both the clinician’s and patient’s perspective. He has had the opportunity to help many in the outpatient, occupational rehab, and home health settings.

Cartney enjoys working out, playing tennis and spending time with his dog when away from work. He also appreciates good food and is always looking for new places to eat and explore.

Melissa de Unamuno, MOT/L, HTC

Melissa De Unamuno, a Fremont native, received her Bachelor of Science degree from Cal State Hayward in 1999, where she majored in Health Sciences and minored in both Kinesiology and Biology. In 2002, she completed her Master of Occupational Therapy Degree (MOT) from Samuel Merritt College. The following year, Melissa began working at Washington Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, where she specializes in the treatment of upper extremity orthopedic injuries. She has advanced practice certifications in both hand therapy (HTC) and physical agent modalities (PAM).

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

​ Ross Edmunds, DPT

Ross Edmunds, a San Diego native, graduated from California State University San Marcos with his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with emphasis in pre-physical therapy. He received his doctorate of physical therapy from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York in 2018.

As a physical therapist, Ross enjoys helping patients move better and gain confidence in their bodies, which helps them achieve their goals. He is a fellow of Applied Functional Science, and treats the body through applying the 3D nature of movement to help patients maximize their function and pursue the life they desire.

In his free time, Ross enjoys weight lifting, CrossFit, and coaching athletes for better performance as well as improving himself through the pursuit of knowledge to constantly refine his skills in personal and professional avenues.
