Trees of Angels
Tree Lighting Ceremonies 2016
The holidays are a wonderful opportunity to spend time with family and
friends. But for many of us, this is also a time when we remember loved
ones who are no longer here to celebrate with us.
For the past 21 years, the Trees of Angels celebrations have brought our
community together to light holiday trees in the Tri-Cities area and to
keep those memories alive. We have raised more than $530,000 for hospice
care since the program began.
As in previous years, Trees of Angels will raise funds for hospice care
in the Tri-Cities area. This year, we will also raise funds to support
the palliative care program at Washington Hospital. Palliative care takes
many of the aims of hospice care — a focus on quality of life, pain
management, and relief from symptoms — and applies them to patients
with a serious illness. Palliative care offers a new approach
to patients of any age, at any stage in a serious illness, and can be
provided in combination with curative treatment.
We invite you to attend one of the four Tree Lighting ceremonies we are
hosting this season.
